Maltby TE+ DBM Black Description
The Maltby TE+ V4 Black DBM Forged irons are the 4th Generation of our best selling TE/DBM Forged irons updated with modern head specifications and head profiles. The TE+ V4 Black DBM True Forged irons feature a modern profile preferred by a wide range of player types. Smooth lines and a moderate top line provide the looks of a "players" club head in the playing position but features an optimal vertical and horizontal center gravity location for an incredible 838 MPF points putting the club head into the high end of the Super Game Improvement category for incredible forgiveness.
The DBM (Diamonized Black Metal) finish is a chemically implanted finish that is 2x more wear resistant, 3x more corrosion (rusting) resistant and 3x more scratch resistant than nickel chrome finishes. In addition to the added surface protection, the DMB finish is chemically implanted so there is no finish layer thickness added to the exterior finish as with nickel chrome finishes. Because the grooves are machined into forged iron heads prior to finishing, the DBM finish actually increases the productivity of the grooves vs. chrome finishes by eliminating this outer finish layer. The DBM irons also feature precision milled micro grooves to improve the consistency of spin from all turf conditions.
 True Forged using a Precision 5 Step Forging process for unparalleled specification tolerances, the TE+ V4 Forged head design features a forged 1025C carbon steel body with CNC milled face and scoring lines to ensure perfect face flatness and groove performance.
